He completed medical school and orthopedic training on the west coast, and his spine fellowship in the Midwest. He recently moved from his practice in Sheridan, Wyoming to join the Summit Orthopedic and Spine Institute. Dr. Balcescu specializes in treating a wide range of spinal issues including herniated discs, arthritis, spinal stenosis, complex pediatric and adult spinal deformities, sports injuries, spondylolisthesis, myelopathy, infections, trauma, and revision surgeries. He has expertise in minimally invasive techniques and motion preservation for both degenerative and complex deformity conditions.
